- State NMFC 77660 and “Berries, NOI, prepaid” on the BOL, list the exact packaging (boxes or crates), and apply prepaid terms so carriers rate it correctly within Class 100–150.
- Pre-cool product and use vented boxes or field crates with absorbent liners; add sealed gel packs as needed without blocking airflow to maintain the cold chain in cross-docks.
- Palletize with interlocked layers, corner boards, and a breathable top cap; stretch-wrap while leaving vent holes unobstructed to prevent heat build-up and carton collapse.
