NMFC 88440 - Incandescent Bulb Protectors | Class 70

Note 88442: NOTE-Applies only on vaporproof glass protectors, each of which, when used, closely and completely encloses a single incandescent electric lamp (bulb).

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Verify the item qualifies as glass protectors for incandescent lamp bulbs (not the bulbs themselves) per the note under item 88442 before tendering freight.
2. Pack units in partitioned inner cartons or molded trays, then master-pack in sturdy boxes; e.g., 12-count cells inside a corrugated master with tight void fill.
3. Palletize boxed cases in a column stack on sound 40x48 pallets with no overhang; add corner boards, stretch wrap, and a top cap with “Do Not Top Load” labels.
4. On the BOL, write “NMFC 88440, Class 70, Glass Bulb Protectors, boxed,” include piece count and packaging type; density entry is not required.
