NMFC 99740 - Test Tube Holders, Metal/Wood | Class 100

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Use NMFC 99740, Class 100 on the BOL and describe the commodity as “test tube holders—metal or wooden” to mirror tariff language.
2. Pack single orders in sturdy boxes with dividers or foam so prongs and slots don’t bend; for bulk shipments, upgrade to a wood crate to prevent crushing.
3. Inside crates, block and brace with corrugated pads; keep heavier metal holders low, and secure layers with strapping or stretch wrap to prevent movement.
4. When shipping alongside fragile glassware, separate SKUs and labels to avoid co-mingled claims, and review Note, item 99741 for any exceptions or clarifications.
