NMFC 112320 - Compressed Wood-Resin Boards | Class 55

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Verify the spec: sawdust or ground wood with resin binder under 10%, no surface covering, not bent or curved. If laminated or used as flooring, reclassification may apply.
2. Palletize flat bundles (e.g., 4x8 sheets) with edge protectors, slip sheets, and two to three steel or poly bands. Avoid pallet overhang to prevent edge crumble.
3. Keep panels dry and rigid in transit. Use stretch wrap or shrink film plus a protective top sheet, and add dunnage between layers to stop scuffing and clamp damage.
4. Bill as “Boards, compressed sawdust, no surface covering, NMFC 112320, Class 55.” Include accurate bundle count and actual weight; dimensions help space planning even though the class is weight-based.
