NMFC 121290 - Power Floor Scrapers & Smoothers | Class 85

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Choose packaging by build: use double-wall boxes for lighter power heads and fully skidded wood crates for heavy or awkward surfacers; block and brace to immobilize motors and gearboxes.
2. Remove or sheath blades, chisels, and scraping shoes; bundle accessories and fasteners in labeled inner cartons, and add edge guards to prevent punctures through the container.
3. Prep power units before pickup: drain fuel and oils from combustion models, cap hydraulic ports, secure cords and control handles, and add desiccant to mitigate jobsite moisture.
4. Print NMFC 121290, Class 85 on the BOL; specify box or crate packaging, palletize for forklift handling, and prearrange liftgate or limited-access if delivering to a jobsite.
