NMFC 134275 – Cocoa Press Cake Meal in Bags | Class 50

Note 134277: NOTE-Applies only on cocoa press cake meal containing not to exceed 10 percent butter fat and having value only for fertilizer purposes.

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Use the exact BOL wording: “Meal, cocoa press cake, in bags — NMFC 134275, Class 50 (see Note, item 134277)” to prevent reclass or delays.
2. Package in sturdy multiwall paper or woven poly bags with consistent bag weights; palletize on 40x48 pallets, interlock stack, add corner boards and stretch wrap.
3. Protect from moisture and odor transfer: add a pallet top sheet, use liners when needed, and request dry van service away from high-odor freight.
