NMFC 13790 - Trellises, NOI, KD, in boxes | Class 85

Note 13791: NOTE-Trellises or trelliswork configured as lawn or garden arbors, arches or pergolas, including unassembled units or kits, are classified as such in item 33610.

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List the commodity exactly as: “Trellises, aluminum, NOI, KD, in boxes — NMFC 13790, Class 85” on the BOL, and confirm any conditions in Note, item 13791.
2. Pack knocked-down trellis components in rigid boxes with corner guards and foam or corrugated pads to prevent denting; palletize multiple cartons and use stretch wrap plus two straps.
3. Keep matched parts together: bundle rails, posts, and hardware kits in the same master carton and label piece counts to avoid shortages during LTL cross-dock handling.
