To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Package in nests of at least 24 window well area walls, band tightly with edge protectors, and stretch-wrap to prevent abrasion of the corrugated steel surface.
2. Load nests on a sturdy pallet or custom skid with no overhang; alternate the curvature to keep the stack tight and add a top cap sheet to distribute strap pressure.
3. List the commodity clearly on the BOL: “Area Walls (Window Wells), corrugated iron or steel, in nests of not less than 24, in packages — NMFC 35690, Class 55.”
4. Verify nesting criteria against Note, item 35691 before pickup; if a nest drops below 24 during handling, re-secure it to avoid reclass and unexpected charges.
