NMFC 38020 - Door Light/Louver Inserts | Class 70

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Box each flush door insert with edge guards and foam around any glazing; use corrugated or honeycomb cells to keep louver blades from bending.
2. For multi-box moves, palletize with a rigid top sheet to prevent strap crush, mark This Side Up, and label clearly as Flush Door Insert.
3. Remember: glazed or unglazed, with or without perforated metal, all qualify under NMFC 38020 at Class 70—avoid mislabeling as lighting fixtures or HVAC grilles.
4. Provide counts and largest box dimensions for quotes, keep per-box weights manageable to reduce handling damage, and add moisture barrier for jobsite deliveries.
