Notes

Note 63322: NOTE-Applies when the shipping package serves also as the package for product display or sales purposes and when damage to the package itself, including cosmetic damage, will result in a claim, and bills of lading and shipping orders are so notated. The shipping package must also be marked to indicate that any damage to the package will result in a claim.

How to Determine Your Class

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

  1. Verify your display qualifies as NOI under NMFC 63321 and review Note 63324 for any exclusions or construction details that might redirect you to a different item.
  2. Use an approved box per NMFC Package 829, 979, 2320, or 2396; keep the screen vertical, add foam corner blocks, and ensure 2 inches of clearance on all sides.
  3. Palletize upright with no overhang on a 4‑way pallet, strap gently around the carton, wrap to the deck, and add tilt and shock indicators for carrier visibility.
  4. List model, diagonal size, packaging type, and quantity on the BOL; mark Fragile and Do Not Stack if required by the packaging spec or carrier.

Note: All classifications are subject to Item 170. Verify with official NMFC publications for the most current requirements.
